Weekly Check-in 12.6.2020

Yep! I am a day late. But I am checking in. My goal right now is to maintain my weight under 250 pounds and eat healthily. Well, I am pleased to say that I have maintained my weight under 250 pounds. I can’t say that I have been eating well. In fact, I have been Eating All the Things.

I am trying to stop stress eating. As you know, my mother fell and was pretty severely injured. She is in a neck brace for about three months. She is finally seeing the orthopedic surgeon this week. Hopefully, we will have more news and better parameters for taking care of her.

But this means I am going to my parents’ home after work. I help Mom shower, help with dinner and dishes, and spend some time with them. I am happy to do this. But it is hard. I am used to a lot of downtime and eating what I want, which is geared towards lowering my inflammation and managing my autoimmune and chronic illness issues. My parents have different issues, so they eat differently than me.

But this is pre-run for going on maintenance for real. So, I am hoping in the next 2.5 months, that I find a way to maintain, eat healthily, and deal with the stresses of life. I am welcome to suggestions! Well, it is late for me. Hazel and I are going to bed.
