7.25.2020 Check-in Day

7.25.2020 272.3 pounds

Well, here it is Check-in Day. I found two pounds from last week. I am at 272.3. I am still happy that I am celebrating the release of 50 pounds. It is frustrating that I broke 270 on Monday, and my body promptly started a rebellion. I gain six pounds in two days, not because I wasn’t doing what I needed to do, but because my digestive system is unhappy.

I take daily fiber, as recommended after my colonoscopy. I added probiotics, I eat low carb yogurt daily with ground flaxseed, and I drink about 120 ounces of water daily. Oh yeah, I drink coffee. I am still having issues. So, in one of my groups, someone suggested I start taking magnesium. It makes sense, Milk of Magnesia.

So, I did a little research. Taking magnesium is helpful for inflammation, Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, and it helps prevent migraines. OMG! This sounds made for me.

Because the body eliminates excess magnesium through the urine stream, the risks of too much magnesium are low. And magnesium through supplements is a laxative. Hopefully, it works.

Lazy Saturday for Hazel

So, I have added 270 mg to my diet. I also take a multi that has 50 mg. So, together I reach the FDA recommended amount. I started last night. Hopefully, this will make a difference in my overall health and my very picky digestive system.

Hazel and I wish you the best Saturday, peace and better health. And remember, be kind…especially to yourself.
